Sunday 29 May: 09:00 – 12:00 and 15:00 – 18:00

Join us on 28 and 29 May for the first in a series of events aiming to bring digital skills to all sectors of society. In this hackathon we are focusing especially on students between 12 and 15 years of age, particularly those who are considering choosing computer studies as an option at school, or those who already study computing and want to learn more! Teachers, hobbyists and enthusiasts are also invited.

This hackathon is organized by the European Commission Representation in Malta, with the support of the eSkills Malta Foundation. We are also delighted to welcome game design students from the Taitotalo Institute in Finland who will be helping students understand more about how game design and programming are related.

Please note that for this Hackathon we do not encourage very young children to attend, as the content is not curated for them. Enthusiastic students 9+ are welcome to attend as long as they are accompanied at all times by a parent. Hobbyists and adults are always welcome, contact us if you want to showcase any cool projects you made recently.

We will insist on frequent hand sanitization during the event, especially when moving between equipment. Masks are recommended, and you should have masks on you even if on the day you may not be required to wear them. A temperature check may be required at entrance.

The venue has a maximum capacity, and if this is exceeded you may have to wait for admittance.
